Skretting fish feed activities in North America are being organized within a renamed business unit, Skretting North America, formerly Skretting Canada. The new name recognizes the scope of the organizations’ activities with manufacturing facilities located in the US and Canada and a distribution center in Washington state. The three companies, Skretting, Bio-Oregon and Nelson & Sons, Inc. have a history in aquaculture feeds dating to the late 1940’s. The group of companies supply aquaculture feeds to a wide variety of species across all regions of North America including Atlantic salmon, five species of pacific salmon reared by enhancement facilities, tilapia, and a wide range of fresh and marine species.
“The focus of the companies will be to improve the delivery of services and products to our customers,” stated Ron Gowan, Managing Director of the unit. “We are confident that the combination of the individual companies’ strengths in manufacturing, products, logistics and after sales support will benefit customers across North America.”
